Ramroop unveils new men's collection in London

Savile Row Collections led by Trinidadian designer Andrew Ramroop unveiled its latest collection of men's designs at Lords Cricket Pavilion in London on June 17.

Ramroop is celebrating his 25th anniversary at the Maurice Sedwell fashion firm. He began in 1974 as a young graduate of the London College of Fashion when he was chosen by the firm's founder Maurice Sedwell as his assistant.

The fashion event was led by GQ UK stylist Jo Levin and featured the work from 20 of Savile Row's best tailors. It featured "fresh summer looks" including blazers, sportswear and summer suits which all took centre stage.

A statement from the company said: "All designs were personally overseen by Ramroop, who in 2008 coined the Andrew Ramroop Tailoring Standards (ARTS) which is now the benchmark for Savile Row tailoring standards."

Guests at the event included Brian Lara, T&T's High Commissioner to London Garvin Nicholas, local opera singer Neil Latchman and English cricketers Mark Ramprakash and Grahame Gooch.
